Emmi Kuittinen mmi Kuittinen is a singer, folk musician, and doctoral researcher at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki, as well as in the Kone Foundation–funded Contested Folk Tradition research project. She specializes in the musical traditions of Karelia and Ingria, particularly Karelian lament singing. Her artistic doctoral research explores grief in sung folk tradition.
Emmi holds degrees as a Master of Music and a music pedagogue (Bachelor of Culture and Arts). In addition to her artistic work and research, she teaches Karelian lament singing courses and works as a part-time lecturer at the Sibelius Academy.

The concert will be held on the upper floor of Mallassauna. Access to the upper floor is via stairs. The venue does not have accessible restroom facilities or an induction loop.
