Susanna Leppänen's music traverses the landscapes of traditional poems and the threats of everyday life, the absurdity of existence, and the inevitable death. Leppänen's voice embodies folk music, death gospel, and accordion tomfoolery.
Since 2020, Leppänen's music has been showcased through Susanna Leppänen & Vallitseva tilanne - a band that received recognition as the Folk Music Album of the Year 2022 for their debut album 'Ptitsi pajut.' Nevertheless, changes are strictly reserved, and the jukebox might play rare local folk tunes, wooden bucket songs, and grown-up lads' verses.
In the Oulu Music Festival's Jazz & Etno concert, Susanna Leppänen will perform solo.
