Four acclaimed and prize-winning composers/musicians meet on stage and create spontaneously exciting soundscapes, tight grooves, beautiful melodies and fascinating textures. Often their concerts are completely improvised, no preparations or agreements are made beforehand. At other times, spontaneously, there might slip some compositions by pianist Sid Hille.
The main feature of a F# concert is the element of freshness. The audience is kept on the edge of their seats, the musicians themselves are constantly on their toes, anything might happen − and then it does. A F# concert is a creative and unpredictable process that surprises and inspires the listeners and the musicians alike.
The Finnish saxophone legend Pepa Päivinen joined F# for their second release Scientifically proven and clinically tested. The LP/CD was released in spring 2022 to five-star reviews.
