The year 1965 was a pivotal one in jazz history—a turning point marked by the release of some of the genre’s most influential albums by legends like John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Wayne Shorter. Now, in 2025, Helsinki-based drummer Benjamin Nylund, Stockholm-based double bassist Jonathan Bäckström, and Vaasa guitarist Mathias Sandberg have arranged their favorite compositions from 1965 with a modern twist.
