Fresh and vibrant new folk music! In the release concert for their second album, Polenta plays their own compositions alongside traditional folk music with passion and wholehearted dedication.
The band's debut album, 'Kaustinen Turbo,' released in autumn 2021, comprises melodies from Kaustinen, which, under Polenta's treatment, have gained a new expression. These interpretations from Kaustinen also led to Polenta winning the Konsta Jylhä Competition in 2019.
The group's new repertoire showcases Polenta's sound through the players' own compositions while maintaining the lively essence of folk music. Known for their nimble live performances, Polenta concerts exude an immediate atmosphere and the joy of playing!
