KARI IKONEN QUARTET AL-QANTARA
Pianist-composer Kari Ikonen, one of the most distinctive Finnish jazz musicians, will be joined by top international musicians, which includes Finnish drummer Markku Ounaskari, Swedish double bass master Anders Jormin and Algerian violin virtuoso Kheir-eddine M'Kachiche.
The programme features new charismatic and iconic compositions that combine the fresh Nordic jazz landscape with the delicate lyricism of Arabic music. And of course, Ikonen's revolutionary invention, the piano micro-tuning device Maqiano, is also in use.

A Festival Pass is also available for the Oulu Music Festival 12.-26.3.2023, which allows the participation intwenty of the festival's concerts. The OMJ 2023 Festival Pass is on sale until March 1, 2023, in limited amount.
