Northern mysticism, catchy melodies, as well as free improvisation. Case Kämäräinen ft. Severi Pyysalo –ensemble draws their music from these elements.
Intuition, which most often leads us in everyday life as well as in other life decisions, has been a common thread running through the album Mystique From The North, which was released last autumn. The style and rhythmic body of almost every song originated from the drum grooves that he had raised as a candidate for a new album while improvising.
In his composition, Kämäräinen used his British vibraphone from the 60s. Thus, the harmony and melodies of the compositions were inspired by free improvisation productions played on the vibraphone, which he modified to suit his rhythmic ideas.
The concert features both new and old music from the band. Special guests include vibraphonist Severi Pyysalo and bassist Antti Lötjönen.
